Review:
Bowman Sterling is another product that I wish was in my budget, since this is annually one of the most
beautiful sets out there, not to mention one of the best long-term investment sets on the market.
With a per pack price in the $50 range, each five card pack is loaded with three hits, including two
autographs. As with other Bowman sets since the MLBPA rookie card rules were imposed, the set is
divided into regular cards and prospect cards. The autograph checklist is a veritable who's who of the top
young players and prospects in baseball. The relic cards are loaded with veteran stars, but really are more
filler than anything else.
This set is all about the autographs. Each box yields twelve, plus the chance of one more in the boxtopper.
That makes the price of a box worth it. If I am able to pick up one, I'll happily assign a high grade to it, since
I'm pretty sure that is what it will warrant. Based on one pack, though, I have to go with the standard.......................
