Welcome back, Stadium Club!!!
After a short hiatus, one of the tent poles of the Topps Company makes a glorious return, only
better. Yes, we all know that Stadium Club was famous for its photography, and that is here in all
its glory, with photos that bleed to the edges of the card and minimal, unimposing graphics to
keep the eye from straying. And yes, there is one parallel and one rookie card per pack, all
numbered.
But what makes Stadium Club different than in the past is the one hit per pack rule now involved.
Every pack will have either a relic or autograph in it. And all of the stars are here in some form,
especially on the rookie side. I was lucky enough to pull the first pick of my favorite team, Vernon
Gholston of the Jets, who just happened to be a top ten pick in the 2008 Draft. I only broke five of
the ten packs in the box, but certainly think I might have gotten the better half.
Stadium Club is like that long lost relative. You kinda forgot about it while it was gone, but now that
it is back, you can’t get enough. Great photos plus great hits equal one thing........................
